By using a Mini SAS RAID controller, you can connect the 12big Rack Serial 2 to your workstation to instantly receive from 6TB to 24TB in a single 2U chassis. Its casing adheres to SSB international standard references, delivering increased quality and affordability, along with near-silent operation. Additionally, it supports SES (SCSI Enclosure Services) 2.0, which allows you to closely monitor the status of your disks and enclosure, so you can work confidently.
Professional Components and Support
To ensure the best quality, only Enterprise Class disks (sold separately) are used in the LaCie 12big Rack Serial 2, meaning that you can fully rely on the system to protect your data. They have been developed with Rotational Vibration Safeguard® (RVS) technology, helping them to be even more reliable and robust. It even supports mixed SAS and SATA drive configurations. 100% of the enclosures and 100% of the disks are tested, and if you experience any issues with your 12big Rack Serial 2, you have access to the best customer support in the industry. We offer advance product swap, access to specially-trained tech support in your country,*** and escalation to the 12big Core Team if your issue isn't resolved within 24 hours.
Expandable
LaCie 12big Rack Serial 2 is an accessible and reliable 12-disk JBOD array providing a convenient and robust way for organization to expand their network's storage capacity. By daisy-chaining several enclosures, users can create 96 SAS or 60 SATA disk arrays reaching 120TB of data. 12big Rack Serial 2 can also be used as expansion unit with any other 12big Rack product to get additional storage and performance. Reach 1050 MB/s* with only 12 drives when using a 6Gb/s RAID controller.
Fully Redundant—Fully Reliable
In addition to the 12 hot-swappable disks and individually tested enclosures, the LaCie 12big Rack Serial 2's I/O modules, Mini SAS links, power and cooling module can be replaced on the fly, providing the ultimate in redundancy and security. Within the 12big Rack Serial 2, there is no single point of failure. LaCie 12big Rack Serial is compatible with all high-performance Mini SAS RAID controllers. For optimized throughput and higher reliability, LaCie recommends using ATTO R380 cards.
